All is fine until a coup on the island threatens the English residents - they must all be evacuated .. Fortunately an old WWII Minesweeper manned by a motley crew is nearby to rescue them... the doddering old Captain, a drunken doctor and a philandering Number One.... Love blossoms between a dashing secret agent and the girls' French teacher ....
